NVIDIA is not one interview process, it is many. Loops vary sharply by team, so the single most important thing to know upfront is that a generic "NVIDIA prep" plan will not serve you well. A common full-time SWE / System Software path looks like this:
- Recruiter or HM screen.

The strongest recent signal is that many teams skip standard LeetCode. Instead, they ask small engineering tasks wrapped in domain context. Speed varies just as much. When the background match is strong, some loops move extremely fast: HM outreach can skip the phone screen and go straight to the virtual onsite, with a verbal offer and reference request within the same week. Other teams reschedule heavily or go silent after rounds that seemed to go well. Recruiter guidance is inconsistent, so lean on the job description and the team's domain more than on generic NVIDIA tags.
Senior and specialist loops show even wider variance:
- A first technical screen may be only a 45-minute CV and project deep dive, followed by an HM discussion and then 4-5 coding rounds.

For a team-hired fall distributed-backend internship, both interviews were scheduled together soon after outreach. Team-defined loops can be much less standardized. One SWE process was just two interviews, each pairing project discussion with about 30 minutes of pseudocode-friendly problem solving. A senior autonomous-vehicle integration process, by contrast, scheduled four technical conversations in two-round batches.
